In last Friday's episode of #MakeFitHappen, we had on the show the awesome and inspiring Kitch Gamilla, Spartan SEA Series AG Champion, who raised the Philippine flag high and proud with her sweeping win in Singapore in 2019.
In the episode, she shared with us how she turned a setback in her life into an opportunity to better herself. Be it that her fitness journey started in a rather unexpected way (but super fun! cheers!), it was her determination towards her goal that pushed her to carry on, turning her life around in the process, and building a community of supportive fitness enthusiasts in a gender-diverse environment.
Being a lawyer by profession (how about that, right?!), she is able to excel in both fields with a clear vision, a strategic mind, and a supportive group that always has her back. She is an obstacle and fitness coach with Obstacle Central and Spartan SGX and has been an advocate of health and fitness for years and counting.
Being "FIT" for Kitch, is being happy with the person that you are. It's not about being a certain weight, waistline, but rather the goal to improve yourself. Seeing her progress, little by little motivated her more and more each day, and this journey can be the same for others as well. It may be intimidating at first, but taking the first step, is a giant leap towards being a better version of yourself.
Cheers to the Modern Pinay!
